Ironman of India
Maj Gen Vikram Dev Dogra, AVSM (Retd.), is a true embodiment of resilience, discipline, and unwavering determination. Despite a distinguished career in the Indian Army, starting from being awarded the prestigious Sword of Honour on passing out from the Indian Military Academy till being honored with the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal for his exemplary service just before retirement, he did not rest on his laurels.
At the age of 58, he made history as the first and only serving ‘General ranked Officer’ of any army of this world to earn the coveted title of Ironman, completing the world-renowned triathlon in an inspiring time of 14 hours and 21 minutes. Remarkably, he has achieved this feat three times, earning him the sobriquet of “Ironman of India” and proving that age is no barrier to extraordinary accomplishments.
His journey, both in uniform and beyond, inspires countless individuals to believe in their potential and strive for greatness.
